When this Aurora home was ready for a cool, elegant update for their Master and Hall Bathrooms, J&J Construction was ready to help them make the transformation! With thoughtful design choices and an updated color scheme, these two rooms are perfect additions to this family’s lifestyle.
Prior to the renovation, the Master Bathroom had a separate tub and shower that were not making the best use of the space. Removing the bathtub created plenty of room for a new oversized shower – with custom fixture choices from Kohler. The handheld shower is not only a body sprayer, but also a wonderful option for helping to keep the shower clean. Combined with the Kohler Forte Showerhead and Trim, it’s now a luxurious space.
The bench, Schluter Shower Niche with adjustable shelf, and towel hooks installed on the shower glass, and upgraded towel bar/handle combo on shower door were additional custom choices that add to the luxury and convenience.
Shower walls are a cool grey selection: Eon Eldorado 12×24, with coordinating 2×2 Mosaic on shower floor. The light veining of this porcelain tile has the beauty of granite, with the easy care of tough, durable porcelain. This was also used for the bathroom floors – a choice that makes the space seem even larger.
Contrasting Bertch custom cabinets with the popular Osage door style were finished in Shale in a semi-gloss finish. The family selected the premium construction, which features soft-close doors and drawers. This is a terrific option for homes with children, as their smooth action helps prevent pinched fingers and cuts down on noise. Finishing the cabinets: Heirloom Silver Knobs HS-K23 which blend in nicely with the darker cabinet color. Above: Matching custom vanity mirrors made by Bertch show off the same Shale paint.
The vanity countertop, shower threshold and wall top all use a matching HanStone Fusion Quartz – the deeper graining and color patterns are a perfect way to add more interest to this simply elegant room. Sink and vanity are also from Kohler: The faucets are a classic Forte Widespread in Polished Chrome, and the Kohler Caxton Rectangle sink is a shape that is becoming increasingly popular. A Kohler Highline toilet completes the new fixture choices.
Updates to the Hall Bath bring continuity and a lighter feel to the room. J&J worked with the homeowners to install Bertch Custom Cabinets in Graphite with a matte finish. Here, we see the same premium construction features as in the Master Bath. Stainless steel pulls look fantastic with the Polished Chrome Kohler fixtures that match the Master Bathroom.
Our team also installed a matching custom vanity mirror by Bertch in Graphite color. The same floor tile, countertop, sink, and toilet as the Master Bath were added, and a coordinating grey wall paint color from Benjamin Moore: Eternity, brightens up the walls.
