There are three things that are certain: DEATH, TAXES, and—your KITCHEN will eventually need to be updated and remodeled! Styles change and what was once popular 25 years ago is probably not popular today.  Another trigger for Kitchen remodeling is that manufacturers are constantly improving their products to make them more appealing to you and to make your time spent in the kitchen more enjoyable. This explains why year after year, Kitchen remodeling is not only the most popular home improvement project, but also has one of the highest returns on investment.

Recently we completed an amazing Kitchen Transformation (it’s more than just a remodel) for a client in the White Eagle subdivision in Naperville.  Expanding the space wasn’t a viable option so we accepted the challenge of creating a showstopper Kitchen within the existing walls.  The primary focus of the project—the ultra-high-end appliances.  A 60” Wolf Commercial range with matching stainless-steel hood became the centerpiece of the Kitchen, along with a beautiful, stainless steel, side-by-side Sub-Zero fridge. Add to that, a high-tech drawer microwave built into the island along with a steam oven, and, we can all agree this Kitchen is a chef’s dream come true!

When designing a Kitchen of this quality, cabinetry is obviously critical.  A gorgeous Shiloh Maple cabinet wearing Manchester doors and finished with a hand applied Ivory paint was selected to complement the appliances.   It was decided to extend the upper cabinets to the 9’ ceiling by using what is called a “stacked cabinet”.  This makes the Kitchen appear much larger. The cabinets were outfitted with all the “must-haves” such as soft close doors and drawers, 5-piece drawer fronts, roll-out trays, hidden trash, and recycling unit and paneled ends on all exposed cabinets.  We even managed to work in a Butler’s Pantry area.  The cabinets were topped off with stunning Luna Pearl granite countertops and all the hardwood flooring was refinished to complement the finished project.  A large Pella Designer series window with in-between-the-glass blinds was installed over the sink and new LED can lights were installed in the ceiling to “light up” the room.

J&J is truly blessed to have the best clients in the world.  These customers were a joy to work with and even when we ran into surprises, they smiled and took it in stride.  Is your Kitchen up to snuff?  Is it time to take the plunge and bring your most-used room up to date?  We would be honored to help you make your dreams come true.
