Bathroom Updates Reflect A Whole New Look For This Wheaton Home
Taking the time to make sure the bathroom updates complemented other renovations worked beautifully in the Wheaton home. J&J worked with the homeowners to upgrade their master and hall bathrooms, as well as completing a kitchen renovation. The new looks flowed into each other seamlessly!
Both these bathrooms were ready for a change-up. As a team that specializes in light and bright updates for homes, our designers were able to show the clients how the renovations would look in both rooms.
The hall bathroom was brightened up with a whole new color scheme. Starting with the walls, freshly painted with Benjamin Moore’s Coventry Gray in an eggshell finish, the mood shifted to cool elegance.
Storage was updated with new Bertch cabinets (also seen in the master bath photos). The owners chose a white matte finish, as well as Osage style doors and premium construction details. These are topped off with HanStone Sterling Grey Quartz for the countertop. These darker tones work beautifully with the new mosaic tile accents used on the walls and on the new shower enclosure tilework.
New beveled mirrors and Kohler Devonshire faucets in a chrome finish round out the transformation.
In the master bath, a similar color scheme now elevates the whole room. As the owners opted to replace the existing tub/shower combination with a new and spacious shower, tile choices were important. The new colors, combined with the glass shower walls, make the space seem twice as large!
In both baths, shower walls were done in a beautifully grained Atlas Concorde Eon Carrara Matte 12” x 24” tile. The glass mosaic accents you see catching the light are Midnight Linear tiles from the Bliss line. Grounding the shower is another Florim tile selection in a 2” x 2” mosaic size.
On the floors, a grey-toned tile was chosen: Florim Stratos Anthracite. It’s a soothing color with just enough pattern. You’ll note a great interplay of textures in both bathrooms, which subtly enlivens the spaces.
Fixtures by Kohler include a new Kohler Highline Comfort Height Toilet, Memoirs Stately sink faucet and handheld shower, and Stance shower faucet.
The new bathroom looks are part of a larger project we completed for these Wheaton homeowners – we’ll feature the kitchen and dining room changes in another spotlight.
