We recently shared the many benefits to converting a tub to a walk-in shower, however that isn’t always on every client’s wishlist. Many people enjoy a soak in a tub on occasion. In fact, this Woodridge family wanted to keep a separate tub. We did take square footage away from the tub space in order to give them a larger, luxury walk-in shower. We also added more storage space with larger vanities, resulting in a smart space that feels larger, more modern, and user-friendly.
These Bertch cabinets in the Villager door style with White finish offer ample storage space for the homeowners. Cabinets included a matching vanity top with finished end panels for additional storage. The vanity top includes two drawers, two adjustable shelves, and soft close doors and drawers, a must-have for early mornings when you don’t want to wake your partner.
The vanity includes an undermount Kohler Caxton Oval in White and a Kohler Refinia Widespread faucet in Polished Chrome. This vanity design is streamlined and attractive as well as easy to clean. The Kohler Caxton offers a solution for those who are torn between traditional and modern decors because it truly suits both tastes. The Kohler Refinia faucet offers soft lines inspired by nature. In fact, if you look closely, the design mimics the gentle uncurling of a sprouting plant. It’s both elegant and understated.
For this renovation, we made room for a more luxurious updated walk-in shower. Your eyes are immediately drawn to the beautiful tile work here. The floor is La Marca Nero Venato in Hexagon Mosaic tile, while the shower walls as well as tub surround and main wall are outfitted in 12×24 Eon Eldorado tiles. The shower border tile is also Eon Eldorado in 2×2 size. This glazed porcelain is timeless and alluring, and homeowners who select this finish want depth of color and premium design-in other words-ultimate luxury.
The shower glass was upgraded to ½ in thickness for an upgraded look and feel. Thicker shower glass means it is also more durable and will be very smooth to open and close. The shower plumbing you see is Kohler Refinia. This showerhead offers an adjustable Forte Handshower Kit in Polished Chrome. An advanced spray engine provides three experiences: full coverage, pulsating massage, or silk spray.
Although we borrowed square footage from the tub area to increase shower size, you would never know it by looking at this end product. The tub is a Kohler Mariposa drop-in in White, and the tub deck faucet is a Kohler Refinia in Polished Chrome. This tub model is constructed of high-gloss acrylic, and a drop-in installation with a reversible drain outlet offers the flexibility to design your perfect environment. We went with the Refinia collection again here. Its organic look is so appealing to a variety of preferences. All that’s left to do here is grab your favorite book and sink into the tub for ultimate relaxation.
These Woodridge residents will feel like Italian royalty when they step foot into their primary bathroom with 12×24 floor tile in Eon Corinthian Gray. This marble interpretation adds style and originality to any space. We needed to match their existing wall color, so this is a Benjamin Moore custom shade in the Aura Bath and Spa brand.
This Kohler Highline Elongated toilet in white is a staple in many of our renovated bathrooms. The contemporary toilet roll holder as well as the towel bar are Kohler Alteo and Devonshire in Polished Chrome. The roll holder uses an innovative pivot mechanism that simplifies roll changing, and the 24 inch towel bar offers plenty of room.
HanStone Quartz in Embrace make up the countertops, shower sill, wall tops and extra deep shower bench seat. This cool gray tone is elevated with soft, white marbling for a bold, timeless look.
