It’s no secret. Renovating your kitchen is one of the best investments you can make. You’ll increase the value of your home, potentially save money in the long run with water and energy-efficient appliances, increase storage space, and perhaps most importantly, create a more comfortable space for you and your family.
The owners of this Aurora home knew that their kitchen needed updating, but felt the current layout was functional. By not moving appliances around, our J&J team was able to keep the cost within their budget. Ultimately, more modern, clean, bright finishes created a beautiful space with more storage.
This kitchen boasts bright cabinets from the Woodharbor Breeze line. The soft close door style is Knollwood with soft close slab drawers as well. The color is called Designer White. White on white makes everything appear larger. Additionally, by installing taller cabinetry, we were able to make better use of the space, drawing the eye upwards, not to mention they provide much-needed storage. These simple cabinets are functional and more modern than the dark wood they previously had.
White kitchens are here to stay folks. In fact, it’s one of the top requests we receive from homeowners. White provides a clean, fresh, versatile background onto which you can infuse a variety of style and decor preferences. If you prefer warmer tones for your kitchen, try a warmer paint color, wall art, or accessories.

This gorgeous peninsula displays a stunning Quartz countertop from the Hanstone Tofino line. This Quartz color is cool and casual, and can be used with almost any color palette. This Aurora family is going to love placing food out for their guests on this bright, wide countertop.
A backsplash is really an area where you can have a bit of fun. Here we’ve selected the Anatolia Soho 3×6 subway tiles in Soft Sage. The Anatolia collection offers a variety of sizes, tones and shapes to suit any desired kitchen aesthetic. Subway tiles are timeless, and this sage color is subtle and soothing.
You’ll notice that we reduced the soffit over the refrigerator and cabinetry, which was taking up valuable potential storage space. Removing a soffit in your kitchen will make the ceiling appear higher and create a more elegant look. We’ve also added crown molding in a Cove Style and painted the kitchen walls in Benjamin Moore’s Linen White OC-146 from their Regal Brand. You’ll notice the wall color adds a hint of warmth to this otherwise all white kitchen.
The lights you see are flush mount, AFX, Black. These lights utilize the latest LED technology, allowing you to be both stylish and environmentally friendly.
Flooring is NuCore Performance Vinyl flooring in Maison Chablish. This is a luxury vinyl that gives the appearance of hardwood without the price tag. We dare your friends to tell the difference. These floors are waterproof, pet proof, easy to clean, and have a pre-attached hypoallergenic natural cork underlayment for a quieter, warmer floor with softness underfoot.
